Majordome’s owner has announced that he has left the restaurant to work at another restaurant, the latest in a series of restaurant closures that has taken place since the end of December.
The news comes amid the ongoing unrest in India following the brutal murder of a journalist, Shabnam Ahmed, in December last year.
It follows the closure of Majordomos restaurant in Bengaluru, which was the subject of a high-profile boycott in India.
Majordomo, owned by Shabam Ahmed, who was killed by police, has since been closed in Bengalura.
In the wake of the violence, the restaurant owner has been forced to open a new restaurant, Majordombomos, in New Delhi.
The restaurant has been under heavy pressure to reopen since the death of Shabab Ahmed, whose death sparked days of unrest in the country.
The restaurant was one of the venues which hosted a series that drew the ire of authorities after Shabah Ahmed was gunned down.
The new restaurant is set to open in the same area, and the management is also set to reopen the existing restaurant, according to the restaurant’s Facebook page.
