The new king is a very bad king, a new article from The New York Times has revealed.
A video of King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard’s live performance at the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) shows the pop duo playing a song about the “majordomo” and making it sound like they are the most popular band in the world.
“It’s just like a parody of the song that the songwriter [David Bowie] used to sing, ‘It’s like the majordomos power,'” says the man who played the bass, DJ-DJ, and guitar in the video.
“I like the way it goes: the bass plays the guitar, and the drums play the bass.
But the song has been done before.”
The video has gone viral on social media, prompting some listeners to comment that the band had performed a “poorly-recorded pop song”.
But the video is not the only thing making the new king of rock-and-roll look like a total disappointment.
The video also contains a photo of the king dressed in a “black shirt, black trousers and black shoes” and a picture of him with a sign reading: “I’m King Gizz.”
The caption on the photo reads: “The king of the rock band, Gizzard, is here.
He is a bad king.””
The king’s face is just a mask, but he looks like he has some sort of mask on,” another viewer wrote.
The man who plays the bass in the song, DJ DJ-Jazz, also said the video showed the singer’s style was “a little bit of a parody”.
“I think it’s great, it’s so well done,” DJ DJ Jazz said.
“They [the songwriters] were just trying to be funny, and he’s not a bad guy at all.”
But the man, who asked not to be named, says he thought the video was “misleading”.
“It looks like I’m doing my own thing, I’m trying to get a laugh,” he said.
But many people who saw the video online took to social media to express their disdain for the king.
“How could you make a video about a song that’s just one of the greatest pop songs ever?” one user wrote.
“What does this mean for the future of rock music?
Do you really want a new king?”
Another said: “Gazz is a total clown.”
